Arsenal have accepted a £55m plus add-ons offer from Manchester City for Alexis Sanchez, with the north London side still hoping to recruit Monaco's Thomas Lemar as a replacement.
The Mirror report that City have seen a deal agreed in principle after seeing a £50m offer rejected by the Gunners on Wednesday. City have managed to strike the deal with no players going from the Etihad to the Emirates in part-exchange.

Arsenal have reportedly asked Monaco for a few hours in order to keep Lemar out of the clutches of the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona, and are thought to be reluctant to sell the Chilean having just overseen Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's £40m move to Liverpool. Nevertheless, it now appears they've accepted their fate.

Sanchez is entering the last year of his contract at the Emirates, and Arsene Wenger will be wary of losing his star man on a free next summer, although he also risks the wrath of the Gunners' fans should he continue to oversee an exodus in north London.

Arsenal were originally hoping to gain Raheem Sterling as part of any potential deal for Sanchez to go to the Etihad, but the Manchester club refused to include the England international in any potential deal.
Sanchez is currently on international duty with Chile, although City have sent out officials who will be on hand to perform any medical duties necessary should a deal for the former Barcelona star come to fruition.
