A 40-year-old man alleged to be a history-sheeter was allegedly shot dead by bike borne assailants in Kardhani area here on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sunil Lakhera, 40, and was on bail in at least seven cases, DCP West Ashok Gupta said.
Four bike-borne assailants opened indiscriminate firing at Lakhera who was in his Bolero SUV with four others near Kartarpura railway level crossing.
