Hardik Pandya played a blinder of a knock in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against Pakistan yesterday though it wasn’t sufficient enough to prevent India from losing the match. In a match, where Indian batsmen struggled to find any kind of momentum, Pandya brilliantly mixed aggression with caution and scored 76 runs off just 43 ball

Pandya came out with a very clear mind set and started playing shots from the very first ball he faced. He is naturally a very aggressive batter and he stuck to his strength even when the chips were down. Pandya smashed 6 sixes and 4 fours in his innings and gave some hope to otherwise demoralized Indian cricket fans, while he lasted.

Pandya’s stay at the pitch was cut short after an unfortunate mix up with Ravindra Jadeja resulted in an easy run out for Pakistan. Both, Pandya and Jadeja, didn’t hear each other’s call and got stuck at the same end. This made Pandya very angry as he was in a zone where he felt he could do something special for Team India.

After the match, Pandya took to Twitter and retweeted a couple of tweets. Interestingly, he also posted a tweet and later deleted it. However, an alert user (@vanillawallah) took a screenshot of the tweet before Hardik could delete it. Here it is: hame to apno be loota garo me kha dam tha
